DAY 1

Chamundi Hills

A sacred landmark and a popular tourist destination in Mysore, the hills house the divine temple of Chamundi at its peak. Trekkers can climb the 1000 steps, while others can take the scenic road to the temple.

TIP : Visit during sunrise to avoid the rush and enjoy a beautiful view. 

Mysore Palace

The primary attraction in Mysore, the palace, is at the city’s centre. Built-in Indo-Saracenic style, the architectural marvel showcases rich history and culture.

TIP : Book tickets online to avoid waiting in line.

Jagan Mohan Palace 

Currently serves  as a gallery and museum. The former holds over 2000 paintings of various Indian and Western styles. The museum displays ancient war weapons, ammunition, coins, board games and musical instruments.

Distance from Mysore Palace       : 0.6 km

TIP : Footwares and Photography are prohibited inside the palace. An audio guide is available for rent for an immersive experience. 

St. Philomena’s Cathedral

The second largest Cathedral in Asia, its architecture is similar to that of the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. The church also holds the remains of St. Philomena, a Greek princess.

Distance from Jagan Mohan Palace        : 3 km 

TIP: Holy mass is conducted daily in Tamil, Kannada and English. 

          Photography is prohibited inside the church. 

Brindavan Gardens

A 60-acre garden ideal for families, couples and kids. With a serene ambience in the evening, the garden is the perfect place to end your day.

TIP : reach the garden in time for the musical fountain show. The park is open to be explored till 9 pm.

DAY 2

Karanji Lake

A beautiful park, a walk-through aviary, and a butterfly garden surround the beautiful lake. Visitors can enjoy boating and take their children to the nearby children’s park for some fun activities.

One of the largest zoos covering 160 acres and housing some of the rarest and endangered species on the planet.

Srirangapatna Fort 

The second toughest fort in India has witnessed the four Anglo-Mysore wars. Also known as Tipu’s fort, the place holds a palace, two dungeons, an ancient temple and the Tipu Sultan’s tomb.

Tipu’s Summer Palace & Tomb

Also called Daria Daulat Bagh, it is an architectural beauty with walls covered in paintings and the top floor serving as a museum. Opposite the palace, is the tiger striped tomb or Gumbaz that holds the graves of Tipu Sultan and his parents.
